There are many ways to resolve your legal issues, Faudia will help you find the one that works for you!
Faudia A. Hameed Clemenza, Esq., is a family lawyer, parenting coordinator and certified mediator with her practice based in Bergen County, NJ. Her practice primarily focuses on mediation and family law issues: divorce, civil unions, post-divorce issues, custody, child support, domestic violence, relocation, modification of alimony, modification of child support, restraining orders, visitation, mediation, etc. She also specializes in municipal practice (traffic violations, drug possession, etc.). She regularly appears in court throughout the state.
As a Court qualified mediator, Faudia helps the parties come to an amicable resolution of the issues in their case.
As an experienced parenting coordinator on the state-wide roster, she is often appointed by the Courts to help parents navigate high conflict parenting issues.
As a family law attorney, she breaks down the issues and helps her clients navigate the stressful litigation process. Her goal is to solve your problems in the most cost-effective way possible. Some clients prefer trying to work the issues out outside of court. Some prefer litigation. No matter the strategy, Faudia ensures that her clients understand the process and have their voice heard.
When she is not working, Faudia is positively impacting her community as a volunteer pro bono attorney for both Alternatives for Domestic Violence (assisting with domestic violence cases) and Northeast New Jersey Legal Services (assisting immigration and family cases), helping those who could not otherwise have representation. Faudia has also been a featured speaker at various events and Continuing Legal Education programs.
In addition to her practice, Faudia was the former supervising attorney at Wafa House, former Alternate Prosecutor for the Borough of Hillsdale (2016-2020) and former Alternate Public Defender for Rochelle Park (2013-2016). Faudia also serves as an Early Settlement panelist in Bergen County (appointed in 2013), where she helps in the courthouse to resolve difficult matrimonial cases. She was also an investigator on the District IIA Ethics Committee, helping to investigate and/or prosecute attorney ethical violations.
Faudia is heavily involved in various Bar organizations throughout New Jersey, serving as Trustee for both the New Jersey State Bar Foundation and the Bergen County Bar Association. She serves as a member or appointee of various commissions and organizations throughout New Jersey: the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Diversity Committee; Co-chair of the Bergen County Bar Association’s Diversity in the Profession committee and serves as a member of their By-Laws, Family Law, and Professionalism in the law committees; Chairwoman of the Bergen County Commission on the Status of Women (elected since 2013); the New Jersey State Bar Foundation as a member of their Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, Scholarship, Court Night and Nominating committees; the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Gender in the Courts; the Supreme Court Family Practice Committee; a member of the Women Lawyers in Bergen’s Diversity committee; a Master in the Croland Family Law Inn of Court; a member of the IIB Fee Arbitration Committee; and former Vice President and Social Media Chair of the New Jersey Muslim Lawyers Association. Faudia also is a member of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey and the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey.
Faudia’s ongoing contributions were recognized by her peers when she was honored as the recipient of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law 2019 Professional Lawyer of the Year award. This award is presented to lawyers who are respected by colleagues for their character, competence and exemplary professional behavior.
In addition to her legal experience, Faudia has over eight years corporate experience as a business analyst with AT&T Wireless and Cingular Wireless.
